March 28, 2019 | Beach Volleyball
SEATTLE – The Husky beach volleyball team, receiving votes in the latest coaches poll, digs in at Alki Beach this Friday, Mar. 29, for its one and only home appearance of the season. Washington, off to a 6-4 start, hosts 14th-ranked Arizona for a double-header, with the two matches starting at 10 a.m. and 12 noon. Admission is free for all spectators.
The Huskies have won six of seven matches after an 0-3 start where they were missing several players to the USA National Team Open Tryouts. Arizona has gone 11-4 so far this year, all four losses coming to ranked teams.
Each match will start out with the Nos. 4 and 5 pairs along with the exhibition pairing and will be followed by the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 pairings.
Arizona leads the overall series, 3-1, and had a 3-2 win last season. This is Arizona's first ever trip to Seattle for beach volleyball.
