After Rain Delay, Huskies Triumph 6-3 Over Ducks

EUGENE, Ore. – The #7 Washington Huskies defeated Oregon 6-3 in game one of the series, taking down the Ducks in ten innings after a long rain delay. Senior Amirah Milloy delivered a three-run homer in the top of the tenth to seal the victory. The game was delayed over two hours at one point, with the Huskies fighting inclement weather all day long.
All of Washington's scoring came via home run, with Sami Reynolds and Nawai Kaupe also launching blasts in the game. Gabbie Plain and Taran Alvelo each worked five innings for the Huskies, with Alvelo earning her 12th win of the year thanks in part to nine strikeouts.
Washington and Oregon play again tomorrow, with first pitch set for 4:00 pm.
