SEATTLE – The Huskies leave the warm sun of Seattle behind this weekend, heading to Long Beach, California for a pair of double-headers on Friday and Saturday.

The matches will be held at Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach. First up for the Huskies on Friday will be the host, Long Beach State, currently ranked No. 9 in the AVCA rankings. Washington (3-3) and LBSU (6-4) get going at 12 noon.

At 2 p.m. on Friday the Huskies will face Colorado Mesa for the first time in program history. The Mavericks are 1-4 so far this season having lost their past two matches to Loyola Marymount and Cal State Northridge.

Saturday the Huskies will face Nebraska for the first time on the beach, starting at 10 a.m. Nebraska has already played 18 matches, with a 10-8 record. Last week in Hawaii they had a pair of losses to No. 5 Hawaii, a loss to Cal and two losses to Boise State.

UW finishes up the trip with a 2 p.m. match against Cal State Bakersfield. The Roadrunners are now 5-4 on the season, having faced tough competition in Long Beach State and then-No. 3 Pepperdine, both 5-0 losses.
