The UW will be making its second-ever appearance in the Las Vegas Bowl, while this year's edition will mark Boise State's fifth trip.
The Huskies are 18-20-1 all-time in bowl games, dating back to their first postseason appearance in the 1924 Rose Bowl Game, when the UW finished in a 14-14 tie with Navy.
The Las Vegas Bowl will mark Petersen's final game as the Huskies' head coach, wrapping up his sixth season in charge of the Dawgs. Defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake, named the Huskies' new head coach on Dec. 2, will take over the program following the Las Vegas Bowl.
