Las Vegas Bowl Soundbites: Post-Practice Media Availability
December 18, 2019 | Football
LAS VEGAS β Washington football seniors Brandon Wellington and Aaron Fuller spoke with the media following the Huskies' first practice in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning, Dec. 18. Read some of what they had to say:
LINEBACKER BRANDON WELLINGTON
(On the differences between this bowl games and ones in years past) "It's a lot sooner. It's pretty unreal that it's here already, my last one. Just going to attack it and give it my all."
(On the importance of finishing the season on a high note) "It's going to be important. It's going to be big, not only for us but for this program. It's going to be a big one for [Washington] to go into next year with that little bit of motivation around winning this last game."
(On what jumps out about Boise State on film) "Everything, but mainly the run game. Their running game is really good. We haven't seen that much running this year, so that's going to be a big factor."
WIDE RECEIVER AARON FULLER
(On the differences between this bowl games and ones in years past) "Less time to prepare. The rest of our games have been around the new year, so you don't have as much time to prepare as you'd like, but you treat it with the same mindset as you do any other bowl game. [Boise State] is good and we need to play our best."
(On whether Boise State's defense is similar to Washington's) "Somewhat. They definitely have different players, but they play hard, play good defense, and play very well together. You can't go 12-1 without playing some good football. It will be a good match-upβ¦"
