Washington Heads to the Bay for ITA NW Regionals

STANFORD, Calif. --- The Washington women's tennis team returns to action this weekend, traveling to the Bay area to take part in the 2019 ITA Northwest Regional tournament Oct. 18-22 at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium on the Stanford campus.
The ITA Northwest regional is one of 12 regional tournaments being contested in mid-October. The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top men's and women's players across the country. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete across 85 ITA Regional Championships around the country. In Division I, regional doubles champions and regional singles champions and finalists qualify for the season-ending Oracle ITA National Fall Championships November 6-10 at the Newport Beach Tennis Club & The Tennis Club at Newport Beach Country Club in Newport Beach, Calif.
In addition to Washington, the ITA's Northwest Region schools are comprised of the following: California, Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pacific, Portland, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle, Stanford, and UC Davis.
The Huskies squad opens play on Friday at 9:15 am with doubles play getting underway and at 10:15 am on the singles side. More tournament information along with the singles and doubles draws can be found at https://gohski.es/33G699P.
