September 22, 2018 | Women's Tennis
ANNES --- The Washington women's tennis team continued their European Tour on Saturday in France, spending time practicing and growing closer as a team.Β
Nika Zupancic, who is a freshman from Slovenia recapped Day 9 of the Huskies European Tour.Β
"Hello dawg fans! It's been a blast these last nine days. We have had so much fun and formed that special bond with each other that is really hard to get in a team sport like tennis."
"We have two more days left in Europe and as Kenadi would say, last two best two."
"Our Saturday morning started with a delicious breakfast in the Novotel hotel. When we finished breakfast we went to the tennis courts which are two minutes away from the hotel. MVP Gabby warmed us up and got us ready for tennis. We had practice on clay courts today, and worked on our doubles game. You could see it was a good practice because everyone came of the court sweating."
"We had lunch to go so that we would have enough time to get ready for our trip to the island."
"We went to the island with a boat. As soon as we got there we split up. Some went to the restaurant, some swimming and some just slept.W e also had a claw competition. The winner was Pat but D-money also did an amazing job. At about 5 pm we went back to the hotel and had some time to shower and relax."
"In the evening we enjoyed pizza, and Natsuho's singing. The day ended with a little game of mafia and a lot of laughter."
"So Huskies, another day in paradise has come to an end. We are all looking forward to tomorrow's last practice and sightseeing in Europe, but at the same time can't wait to be home in Seattle soon."
