Husky Women's Tennis European Tour: Day 8
September 21, 2018 | Women's Tennis
CANNES --- The Washington women's tennis team spent another day in France, practicing and enjoying the weather on the eight day of their European Tour.
Sophomore Vanessa Wong chronicled the team's day:
"Hey Huskies!"
"Today was a very special day, it was coach Georgia Munn's birthday! So of course our practice this morning in Cannes started off with singing happy birthday to Georgia. Today was another hot day. We practiced lots of doubles situations and mixed in some singles points too."
"After much needed showers we walked down to the Long Beach to soak up more sun. We then sang another happy birthday to let the people of Cannes know that it's Georgia's birthday! The water was extremely blue and clear, and the sun was shining strong. Some tanned while others swam and we had some battles of Spikeball in the sand. To end off our afternoon at the beach the nine of us and Samara built a pyramid, it looks easy but it definitely wasn't!"
"As the sun set, we went back to the beach to enjoy dinner right on the water with our feet in the sand. The view of the mountains in the distance and sounds of the waves were so amazing during our dinner. And to top off the night, the Huskies ended with some yummy gelato!"
"Happy Birthday Georgia and Go Dawgs!"
