Husky Women's Tennis European Tour: Day 7
September 20, 2018 | Women's Tennis
CANNES --- The Washington women's tennis team continued their tour through Europe with another day spent on the coast of France. The team practiced on hard courts on Day 7 of the trip, continuing to prepare for the upcoming season.
Freshman Delara Zamani from Frisco, Texas reported on the team's day:
"Hello dawg fans!"
"It's been a long and adventure packed trip thus far, and it has felt like a dream; but today we had a touch of reality. It was laundry day for us Huskies in Cannes."
"We started off the day with a relaxed morning. We got to sleep in and ate breakfast together as a team before heading to the laundromat. Tucked behind a street of high end dining and shopping, and across from Croisette Beach we found our humble laundromat. We spent a few hours tidying our clothes before heading to lunch."
"We ate lunch at a wonderful restaurant with views of boats on the water, L'Assiette Provençale. The food was amazing, I'd highly recommend the Prawn Risotto. After we ate, it was back to the hotel to get ready for an afternoon practice."
"Finally, we were back on hard courts for our first practice in Cannes at Parc Montfleury. We had a tough tennis practice with running and footwork drills incorporated, maximizing our time on and off the courts. Once practice ended we showered and headed off to dinner in downtown Cannes."
"After driving through quaint, narrow, winding roads of Antibes, we ate at L'Epicerie de Jules, an authentic French bistro. Then we went to a gelato shop for a sweet night cap, to end another day in paradise."
"Go Huskies!"
