August 28, 2018 | Gymnastics
SEATTLE - Washington gymnastics announced the addition of Baely Rowe to the coaching staff today, with the Federal Way, Wash., native set to serve as the volunteer assistant coach. Rowe will join the program looking to help the GymDawgs to a third consecutive NCAA Nationals appearance.
"Baely has an amazing combination of having competed as a top Pac-12 gymnast and now having the passion to share her experience through coaching," said head coach Elise Ray-Statz. "Her humility and excitement to learn and give back is incredible. We are so excited to have her join us and we welcome her back home to the Pacific Northwest."
Rowe will assist in a number of roles for the GymDawgs. She will coach all four events, helping the GymDawgs with their choreography on floor routines while also helping with recruiting, administrative duties, and coaching plans.
Rowe graduated from Utah this last year after a stellar career in the gymnastics program. As a senior, she was named the university's Female Athlete of the Year. Rowe earned six All-American honors in her four years with Utah and was a part of three Pac-12 team championships. Individually, she also earned a 2016 Pac-12 beam championship.
Rowe was also a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection as a student, earning the honor every year that she was eligible. Her fellow Utes awarded her the team's leadership team award as well.
