
GymDawgs To Travel To Pennsylvania For NCAA Regionals

SEATTLE - With today's announcement of the NCAA Regionals seeding, the #8 Washington GymDawgs find themselves traveling to University Park, Pennsylvania for the April 7 competition. The University Park Regional will also feature #5 Florida, #17 Arizona State, West Virginia, host Penn State, and New Hampshire and will begin at 1:00 pm PT.
Washington will start on beam during the rotations, followed by a bye during rotation two. The GymDawgs will then compete in Olympic order, following beam with floor and vault before another bye. The competition will end with Washington on bars.
The GymDawgs head to the NCAA Regionals after their highest-ever regular season finish, taking eighth in the country. Washington also tied a program record with four meet scores of 197 or higher this year. The GymDawgs are in the top ten on beam and floor and in the top 25 in all four events. On beam, Washington is averaging a score of 49.183, good for seventh in the country. On floor, Washington averages a score of 49.242, its highest score on any individual event and the ninth-best average score in the country. The GymDawgs are also 16th on bars (49.121) and 21st on vault (49.025).
Four GymDawg individual scores are in the top 30 in the country. Hailey Burleson, who finished sixth at the Pac-12 Championships on all-around, is 23rd in the nation on all-around with an RQS score of 39.435. Burleson is tied with Evanni Roberson for 24th in the country on beam with a RQS score of 9.900. Monica Riley also has an RQS score of 9.900 on bars, good for 29th in the country.
