Huskies Host Two Non-Conference Matches on Saturday

SEATTLE โ No. 41 Washington women's tennis is back home this weekend, hosting a doubleheader against Idaho and Seattle University on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. PT.
The Huskies are 8-6 after dropping their first Pac-12 match to the Oregon Ducks last week. These two matches on Saturday are the last non-conference matches of the year for the Dawgs. In the latest ITA rankings, singles and doubles rankings were not updated. Stacey Fung remains at No. 14, Vanessa Wong is still at No. 56 and Wong and Miki Kobayashi are at No. 29 in doubles.
Idaho is 3-3 on the year, playing all of its matches on the road. The Dawgs are undefeated against the Vandals in 14 matches. In the ITA rankings, Idaho has one singles player ranked, No. 39 Marianna Petrei.
Seattle is currently 4-8 on the year, coming off of a win against North Dakota on the road. In the all-time series, Washington has never lost to Seattle (20-0). ย In 2017, the Huskies won 6-1, the Redhawks claiming their sole point at No. 6 singles.
The match against Idaho will begin at 10 a.m. PT with the Seattle match starting at 2 p.m. PT. Links for live scoring and streaming can be found on the women's tennis schedule page. Weather permitting, the Huskies will host the matches at the Quillian Tennis Stadium outside. If the weather conditions are not suitable for tennis, the matches will be held in the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
