
Former Husky Spencer Richey Returns to FC Cincinnati

CINCINNATI - Former Washington standout goalkeeper Spencer Richey has returned to FC Cincinnati for the upcoming season and is expected to occupy the goal as the team makes its MLS debut in 2019.
Richey's rights were owned by Vancouver which loaned the keeper to to FC Cincinnati's USL team during the 2018 season, but was traded to the MLS club on Sunday. He is one of six players currently on the 2019 FC Cincinnati roster.
In 14 matches last season, Richey was 11-1-2 with a 1.29 goals against average. He was one of Washington's top goalkeepers during his time at UW, posting a 43-18-9 record with a 0.89 goals against average--the third-lowest in program history. He also recorded 30 career shutouts, just one shy of the school record.
