Fung Falls in First Round of Main Draw

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. --- Senior Stacey Fung lost her first round main draw singles match against Sophie Whittle of Gonzaga on Thursday. The ninth ranked FungΒ dropped the match toΒ the 35th ranked Whittle 6-7(3), 1-6.Β
The lossΒ was Fung's first singles match of the season. She remains one win away fromΒ her 74th of her career which will putΒ her in a tie for eighth place in Husky singles history.
Last year Fung reached the quarterfinals of the Riviera/ITA Women's All American Championships.
