Sommer and Lam Advance to Round of 16

TULSA, Okla. --- The Husky doubles pair of Enzo Sommer and Kawika Lam rallied back from a one set deficit to win their first round main draw doubles match. Sommer and Lam defeated the 14th ranked pair of Oscar Mesquida and Adam Sanjurjo from Arkansas 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 to advance to the Round of 16 on Friday.
In the tiebreaker, the Huskies held a 7-6 lead but then scored three consecutive points in order to clinch the match.
On Friday, the Round of 16 will begin as Sommer and Lam will take on the winner of the 10th ranked pair of Nico Borter and Guilherme Osorio from San Diego and the 44th ranked team of Andy Andrade and Oliver Crawford from Florida.
The No. 27 ranked Husky duo are off to a 1-0 doubles start, earning their first victory of the season after winning 17 matches together in the 2017-18 campaign.
