Washington to Begin Portland-Seattle Battle

VANCOUVER, Wash. --- The Washington women's tennis team will begin play at the Portland-Seattle Battle on Friday. The first annual tournament which is hosted by Portland State, will take place at the Vancouver Tennis Center from Oct. 12-14.
Portland, Portland State and Washington will all begin play on Friday beginning at 3 pm. Action on Saturday and Sunday will begin at 9:30 am.
The Huskies are coming off of a successful tournament last weekend at the Bulldog Invite with junior Katarina Kopcalic claiming the Blue Singles draw title. Freshman Delara Zamani and senior Kenadi Hance also won the Zag Doubles crown in an all-Husky championship match.
