Fung and Wong to Compete in ITA All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. --- Senior Stacey Fung and sophomore Vanessa Wong will begin play at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday at Riviera Tennis Club.
Wong is the No. 2 seed in the qualifying singles draw and will face Adrianna Reami from NC State at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Players in the qualifying draw will have to win three matches to advance to the main draw beginning on Oct. 4. Fung earned automatic selection into the main draw.Β
Fung and Wong will also compete in doubles qualifying draw on Tuesday, which begins at 9:00 a.m. The Husky pair will take on Kelly Chen and Maria Mateas of Duke. Teams will need to win three matches in the qualifying draw to advance to the main draw on Oct. 4.
Fung was ranked in the preseason ITA poll as the No. 9 singles player in the country, while Wong earned the No. 25 spot. The Fung and Wong doubles team was also ranked No. 40 in the doubles preseason poll.
