Fall Season Starts at 2017 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championship

SEATTLE – Three from the Washington's women's tennis team will be participating in the 2017 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships starting on Saturday in California.
Stacey Fung, Miki Kobayashi and Alexis Prokopuik will all be making the trip to Pacific Palisades, Calif. to participate in the tournament. Fung and Kobayashi will be playing in singles while Kobayashi and Prokopuik will team up in doubles.
The pre-qualifying round starts on Saturday for both singles and doubles at 9 a.m. PDT and will be held at Pepperdine University. Kobayashi will play in the pre-qualifying singles. Both Kobayashi and Prokopuik will play in the pre-qualifying doubles round.
Fung was moved up to participate in the main draw after originally being placed on the alternate list. Main draw will begin on Thursday, October 5, with one singles round.
The tournament consists of pre-qualifying, qualifying and main draw rounds. Both the pre-qualifying and the qualifying singles rounds features 64 players. The pre-qualifying and qualifying doubles have 32 pairs. In the main draw, the singles tournament has 32 players and the doubles has 24 teams.
