UW To Face Ohio State In 2024 And 2025

SEATTLE – The Washington football team will revive one of its longest-standing intersectional rivalries as the Huskies will take on Ohio State in 2024 and 2025.
The Buckeyes will travel to Seattle to face the Dawgs at Husky Stadium on Sept. 14, 2024. The following season, the Huskies will pay a visit to Columbus for a Sept. 13, 2025, meeting.
"Big, early-season matchups between traditional powers is a highlight of every college football season," said Washington head coach Chris Petersen. "I'm really excited that we'll be able to bring the Buckeyes to Seattle for what should be a great September afternoon for Husky fans and college football fans everywhere."
"We are excited to add this series with Ohio State to our future schedule," UW director of athletics Jennifer Cohen said. "These games will bring together two great universities and storied football programs. I think both games will make for incredible experiences for our fans, and for the student-athletes competing."
The Huskies and Buckeyes have played one another 11 times in the past – surprisingly enough, never in a bowl game – in a series that dates back to 1957. They faced each other three times in the 1950s, twice more in the 1960s, once in 1986, three times in the 1990s and, more recently, in 2003 and 2007.
The only two major-conference, non-league opponents the Huskies have played more frequently are Minnesota (17 times) and Michigan (12).
The Ohio State games in 2024 and 2025 are currently the only games on the Huskies' non-conference schedules for those two seasons. Here is look at the publicly announced future, non-conference schedules for Washington (conference games are announced each year by the Pac-12), as they stand now:
