No. 19 Washington Battles No. 8 Stanford On Thursday Night

PALO ALTO, Calif. --- No. 19 Washington looks to get back on the winning track on Thursday, traveling to the Bay area to face No. 8 Stanford in a battle for the top spot atop the Pac-12 table. The 6:00 p.m. match will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
The Huskies hit the road for the first time in over a month as they travel to face No. 8 Stanford in Palo Alto on Thursday. Washington saw its six-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday in a frustrating 1-0 overtime loss to UCLA, dropping them to 9-3-0 and to 2-1-0 in conference play. Despite the loss, the Huskies moved up three spots in the NCAA/United Soccer Coaches poll to No. 19. The loss was Washington's second overtime loss of the season with two of its three defeats coming in the extra period. The Huskies failed to score for just the second time this season (both losses) and falls to 0-3 when scoring one or fewer goals.
Stanford Cardinal At A Glance
The two-time defending national champion Cardinal look strong through the first three Pac-12 matches, outscoring their foes 9-0. Stanford has dropped two matches by 2-0 scores, losing to Tulsa and closing out its non-conference schedule with a loss at Saint Louis.
