
Huskies Finish Up First Day At Pac-12 Tournament

OJAI, Calif. – The Washington women's tennis team played their first day at the Pac-12 Singles and Doubles Championships today at the Ojai Valley Athletic Club.
Five Huskies participated in singles play today, with two advancing and three falling out of play. In the singles Championship Bracket, Stacey Fung fell to Kyle McPhillips of UCLA 6-4, 6-3 with Elianne Douglas-Miron losing a tough match against the tournament's No. 2 seed Klara Fabikova 6-2, 6-3.
In the Invitational Bracket Kenadi Hance advanced to the next round, defeating Camila Wesbrooks of Arizonz 6-2, 7-6(5). Freshman Tami Grende will join Hance in the next round as well, picking up a win over Inge Hendrikx of Arizona 7-5, 6-2. Miki Kobayashi faced off against Stanford's Melissa Lord, but fell in a tough three-setter 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
The next round of singles will continue tomorrow, as well as doubles play in both the Championship and Invitational brackets.
