November 09, 2016 | Men's Golf
SEATTLE – University of Washington first-year head coach Alan Murray announced the signing of two future Huskies to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday (Nov. 9). The duo of Noah Woolsey and Jan Schneider will begin competition for Washington in the fall of 2017. The pair will bring an immediate impact to the Husky program that has established itself as one of the elite in the nation over the past decade
"We're really excited about Noah and Jan," said Murray. "Noah is one of the top juniors in Northern California and has played a great deal of junior golf with plenty of success. He loves the game and is a real competitor. He's also a strong student and will add a great deal to our program. Noah has been on our radar for a while and we are super excited to have him become a Husky. It has been great to get to know him and I love the energy he brings. Jan is someone we came across later than usual but it is very clear to see how talented he is. He has solid fundamentals and also possesses a great passion for the game. He is a very level-headed guy and will be a great fit to this Husky program. Both of these student-athletes will continue to improve and enjoy the competitive environment on a daily basis that exists at Washington. They will be pushed by, and will push, the rest of the team and it's very exciting to have them be a part of the program."
