
Huskies Battle Hard in 6-1 Defeat at No. 9 Texas

Freshman Jake Douglas kept his perfect record intact as he claimed the Huskies lone win on the day, defeating Texas' Nick Naumann 6-3, 6-3 at number four singles. Douglas is now 9-0 on the year playing at the one, three and four spots in singles action.
The Huskies also fought hard on court three and five with Gal Hakak dropping a tiebreaker to 48th-ranked Adrien Berkowicz, 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) at number three singles while Viktor Farkas fell to George Goldhoff, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 on court five. Freshman and 78th-ranked Mitch Stewart faced 13th-ranked Soren Hess-Olesen at the top of the lineup but suffered a 6-0, 6-2 defeat.
The Longhorns started the day by winning the doubles point taking victories 6-1 and 6-2 victories on court two and three respectively. Emmett Egger and Gal Hakak were in a 4-3 battle with 51st ranked Lloyd Glasspool and Soren Hess-Olesen when the doubles point was clinched.
The Huskies return home for their next match against Tulsa at 4 p.m. on February 14 at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
