NSCAA Release
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Friday, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced the All-America Team with Husky goalkeeper Ryan Herman being honored. Herman was named to the Third Team, making it three-straight years the Dawgs have had an All-American under head coach Jamie Clark.
Herman earned the national honor for the first time. He was already named to the All-Pac-12 First Team at goalkeeper after leading the conference in every goalkeeper category. Earlier this week, he was named to the All-Far West Region First Team by the NSCAA.
The senior from Fall City, Wash. finished third in the nation with an 88 percent save percentage and tied sixth in the nation with 10 shutouts. He also led the Pac-12 in both categories, while also making a conference-best 85 saves and compiling a 0.63 goals against average.
Herman makes it three-straight years of NSCAA All-Americans for the Dawgs after Taylor Peay was named to the First Team in 2013 and Cristian Roldan and Andy Thoma were named to the Third Team last year. Each of Peay, Roldan and Thoma have since been drafted into MLS, which may be Herman's route later this winter.
This was the 17th time a Husky earned NSCAA All-America honors and Herman became the 13th Dawgs to do it.
From the Pac-12, only two other players were honored. Defender Brandon Vincent and forward Jordan Morris, both of Stanford, were named to the First Team.
