High School and Personal: Born in San Luis Obispo, California ... parents are Sarah and Tim Gravelle ... has two older sister, Margaret and Mary ... her uncle, Mike Gravelle, was the U.S. Champion in the discus in 1994 ... took third at the Washington state hammer throw championships as a senior in 2012, after placing sixth as a junior ... also was 11th at state her sophomore year in the discus ... second at the Oregon Relays in 2012 in the hammer throw, tossing 128-7 ... earned team's most inspirational award her senior year ... a three-year letterwinner in basketball ... valedictorian of her graduating class with a 4.0 grade point average.
