TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Husky women's golf team finished 16th at the PING/Arizona State Invitational on Sunday, the final tune up for the team before the Pac-10 Championships.

Washington's five combined to shoot a 318 on Sunday, a round that left Husky head coach Mary Lou Mulflur and her squad scratching their head's and searching for answers before they return to Karsten Golf Course in two weeks for the conference tournament.

"It was a frustrating week," said Mulflur after her team finished ahead of only Washington State. "We have a lot of work to do to be ready for the Pac-10 Championships."

Every Pac-10 team except Oregon were down in the desert for the tournament this weekend. UCLA won by four strokes over USC. Arizona was third followed by Texas, Stanford, California and Arizona State.

The Huskies shot a 297 in the first round and were tied for 9th. But, a 314 on Saturday pushed them all the way to 16th where they stayed.

On Sunday, junior Sadena Parks fired the best round among Huskies. She shot a 77 (+5) and ended up tied for 66th with a 233 (+17).

Anya Alvarez was the Huskies top finisher. She tied for 46th at 228 (+12). The senior from Jenks, Okla. struggled with an 81 on Sunday.

Darcie Richmond ended up tied for 57th, Brittany Tallman was 79th and Karinn Dickinson was 87.

The Pac-10 Championships get under way on Thursday, March 17 at Karsten Golf Course.
