Doubles Run Ends For Huskies In Quarters

SEATTLE - Top seeds Emmett Egger and Kyle McMorrow were upset in the quarterfinals at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships this morning, bringing the tourney to an end for the Huskies as a whole.
The top Husky duo lost 8-5 to California's Nick Andrews and Andrew Scholnick, a tough result as the two were hoping to contend for the title and earn a spot to next month's ITA National Indoor Championships. Instead, McMorrow will have to hope for an at-large bid in singles.
The tournament continues at the Nordstrom Tennis Center with singles and doubles finals slated for Tuesday.
The next full team tournament for the Dawgs will be the PNW Intercollegiates, which UW has hosted the past couple years, but this year will be held in Eugene, Oregon from Nov. 4-6.
