Washington Head Coach Tia Jackson
On what went wrong
"A few of our defensive breakdowns, I shouldn't say a few, it was pretty evident during the whole game."
On defense:
"Our game plan was, more than anything, to take a few charges knowing that they wanted to get to the hole."
On Washington's offense:
"I think our shot selection has become a little questionable. We've got to make sure that we're taking shots within rhythm. Right now I haven't recognized, definitely in this game, that we've taken shots within rhythm. In practice, we shoot dang near 75 percent, so that's not the problem. It's now carrying it over into the game, and it's going to take repetition and repetition."
On Devanei Hampton:
"She played well. She hasn't had that kind of performance in the two games previous to playing. She came ready to play tonight."
On staying in the game:
"I always believe it, it doesn't matter what the score is, what the time is on the clock. I've seen us come down from bigger deficits or close on bigger deficits than that tonight so I wasn't worried about that."
