Fischer and Ricks Win Doubles Titles at Bulldog Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - The Husky doubles duo of Patrik Fishcer (Bern, Switzerland) and Michael Ricks (Orinda, Calif.) won the championship of the Flight A Doubles bracket on Sunday at the Bull Dog Classic in Fresno, Calif.
Fischer, a sophomore, and Ricks, a senior, breezed to an 8-2 win over Victor Medina and Marco Foelz of Fresno Pacific, completing a 4-0 weekend in doubles. The duo had never played competitively together until this weekend.
Washington's men's tennis team returns to action next week at the ITA Regional Championships in Palo Alto, Calif. The tournament will run from Friday, Oct. 20 until Tuesday, Oct. 24.
