Corvallis, OR - Washington freshman Sung Ea Lee (Tacoma) carded a 76 during the final round of the Pac-10 Championships to place eighth overall at the event at 7-over 223. The Huskies shot 315 during the final round for a 54-hole total of 929 to finish eighth in the team competition.
California won the championship by five strokes over second-place Arizona. The Golden Bears shot 301 on Saturday for a total of 892. Arizona also shot 301 during the final round and finished at 897.
California's Vikki Laing took medalist honors with an even-par score of 216. She defeated USC's Mikaela Parmlid by one stroke. The two competitors were tied for second entering Saturday's final round behind Arizona State's Blair O'Neal. A 78 over the final 18 holes dropped O'Neal to fourth on the leaderboard.
Washington's Louise Friberg and Lindsay Morgan tied for 24th at 16-over 232. Michelle Grafos was 51st at 244 and Katie Kofmehl was 58th at 269.
NCAA Regional invitations will be announced on Monday.
