Husky Gym Team Falls to No. 3 UCLA

Los Angeles - The third-ranked UCLA women's gymnastics team beat 13th-ranked UCLA 198.575 to 194.800 in a dual meet in Los Angeles. The Bruins were led by All-Americans Jamie Dantzschler and Tacoma native Onnie Willis.
The Bruins' score tied for the highest mark ever recorded by an NCAA team, matching Georgia's score set at the 1998 NCAA Southeast Regionals.
Dantzschler record perfect 10s on vault and floor exercise to win those events. She also finished first on bars with a near-perfect 9.975 score. Willis won the all-around with a score of 39.800, despite not winning any event titles. She was second on vault, bars and floor and fourth on beam. UCLA's Kate Richardson won the beam with a score of 9.975.
Washington was led by Emily Pritchard, who was third in the all-around at 39.325. Her top finish came on bars where she tied teammate Carly Dockendorf for third place with a score of 9.900.
The Huskies compete at Bank of America Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion Friday against eighth-ranked Stanford at 7 p.m.
