With 20 points this afternoon, junior Loree Payne has now lead the team in scoring three consecutive games, averaging 21 points per contest.
With the 68-50 victory, Washington is on a five-game winning streak for the first time since they capped off a five-game win streak on Feb. 15, 2001 against Oregon State. Ironically, both streaks came after losses at Stanford.
Washington's Andrea Lalum tied a career high with four blocked shots, last recording four swats against St. Mary's on Dec. 17, 2000.
The Washington defense held the Pac-10's second leading scorer, Amanda Levens, to two points on 1-12 shooting from the field.
Arizona State's Melody Johnson recorded her fifth double-double of the season, and her second in two games, with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Huskies are now 8-0 when holding their opponent to fewer than 60 points. In those eight games the average margin of victory was 26.6 points.
