Washington outscored Boise State 57-15 in the second half, after allowing the Broncos to close within seven points, 42-35, at the half. The second half began with a 38-6 Washington run over the first 12:28 after the break.
Junior Emily Autrey recorded her third career double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, respectively. Her 12 rebounds were a career high. Autrey recorded her career high 20 points against the Broncos on Nov. 27, 2000.
Loree Payne's 23 points marks her highest point total since March 11, 2000, when she scored 23 against UCLA in the season finale. Payne also recorded four steals, which were a career high.
Washington's 49 point win tonight was the largest in June Daugherty's six-year tenure, and the biggest margin of victory for the Huskies since a 105-47 win against Virginia Tech on Nov. 26, 1993.
The Huskies 10 turnovers were their least since Jan. 27, 2000, when they committed only 10 in an 85-83 upset victory over the Stanford Cardinal. Boise State's 23 turnovers tied an opponent season high.
Washington converted on 24-26 free throw attempts (92.3%) in tonight's game. The record of 93.8% (15-16) was set twice, versus Sacramento State on Dec. 18, 1978 and versus Oregon on Feb. 21, 1985.
