General Remarks:
"This is a disappointing loss because we didn't come out and play the way we did 24 hours ago. Our energy level wasn't where it should be and we have to learn to play harder every night and build on previous games. Santa Clara did an excellent job moving the basketball and they ran hard for 40 minutes. I thought we did a pretty good job on their front line which we were very concerned about but their guards got going and we didn't do a very good job controlling them. We gave up too many threes in our zone and it forced it us to come out of our zone and not be able to mix up things the way we wanted too. Santa Clara played a good game and were well coached and played hard. Their ability to move the ball broke us down defensively. We have to come out and play harder than we did. Building on the night before is important and we didn't do that very well tonight. We have to learn from this and go on. Our shot selection wasn't bad the shots just did not fall. What was the most disappointing was the fact that we weren't getting offensive boards. There was too many times when the shot went up and three or four people were already getting back on defense instead of getting on the boards and helping out their other teammates. We needed to get second shots and more energy on the boards."
(On all-tournament selection): "I'm not happy with that. Winning is the most important thing and playing well as a team. We had some good spots yesterday but it was disappointing to see us come out and play like this today. Personally I think I did better but the most important thing is for us to put it all together as a team and we didn't do that."
