Washington head coach June Daugherty
"Wisconsin came out fired up. It was what we expected. We played a lot
harder than we did two nights ago. Their three seniors carried the team
(Jessie Stomski, Tamara Moore, Kyle Black). They were the show.
"There were two things we had problems with, penetration against the zone and the ability to keep them off the boards. I'm disappointed we lost, but we're going to go back to Seattle and be able to fix those things. Our players are hungry to be good. We'll be okay. Hats off to Wisconsin. They played a great game. I was excited to come into this environment and get our freshmen some good minutes in the game. I'll take nothing but positives from this."
Sophomore center Andrea Lalum
"We came out of the lockerroom and stepped it up in the second half.
Wisconsin is a great team. This was a great learning experience. I learned
we need to come out strong from the start, come out hungrier."
