
Women's Hoops Squad Falls To Stanford, 76-46

Senior guard Milena Flores recorded 13 points to lead the Cardinal to a 76-46 win over Washington on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Maples Pavilion. This is the fewest points allowed by the Stanford women since the 1996-97 season when the Cardinal defeated Texas Tech 67-45 in the NCAA Second Round playoff game at Stanford.
Other top Stanford scorers included junior Sarah Dimson with 12 points and nine rebounds and freshman Jamie Carey who recorded 12 points, including 3-of-6 three-point shots.
The first half of the game was close, with Stanford in the lead at halftime 29-21. In the second half, the Cardinal came out and made a 20-1 run in the middle of the second half to take the game out of Washington's reach. In the second half, Stanford shot 56.3 from the field, making 18-of-32, and 66.7 from the three-point line, sinking 6-of-9.
