Head coach June Daugherty
"We had a great second half. That was probably our best half of basketball
all season. We could have folded up the tents and gone home. It was a big
character test for us at halftime. They came out and showed what they are
made of. It was a whale of a ballgame. We learned how to compete.
"Sarah Duncan and Jill Pimley were big sparks for us today. They were responsible for our huge runs. For Sarah, that was probably her best defensive effort as a Husky.
"The first half was disappointing, no question. But I am going to build on the second half. Our character was tested at halftime and you saw the answer they gave."
Loree Payne
"With everything bad comes something good. We are going to try and learn
from this loss and turn it around. It's encouraging to know we are going
home coming off a good half. We just need to learn how to put together 40
minutes of basketball. We showed we have the capability to be really good.
Our biggest challenge is not who we are playing but to find it in
ourselves to play 40 minutes.
We were fired up in the second half. We came out and competed, but
we dug ourselves into a big hole in the first half. We've done that all
season."
