UW Head Coach June Daugherty:
I thought we competed and we did what we had to do to keep the ball from going into their tremendous posts. Lisa Griffith goes seven of 10 from three and that was the difference in the ball game. She was feeling it, she had her night. Were starting to get a consistent presence inside and the bench contributed great again.
UW Post Melissa Erickson:
They are pretty good players. That front line is one of the best in the Pac-10. They're really physical and feisty.
Arizona Head Coach Joan Bonvicini
GENERAL REMARKS: "It was definitely a long time coming. I thought this game would never end. It was a long game with a lot of free throws and turnovers. We had a lot of good performances tonight. Angie Lackey really stepped up and Lisa Griffith had a career high. We came up here to get a sweep and I'm pleased we achieved what we wanted to."ON THE BENCH: "This was not exactly what I wanted from our bench. I thought we could be a little more solid."
ON THE UPCOMING CONTEST WITH UCLA: "They are a lot better school than what their pre-season record indicated. We know they're going to come in here really ready. There a couple of things we have got to do better. We need to play better half court defense. Our three point defensive percentage is not good enough. We've also got to improve our rebounding."
