Volleyball Falls To Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Washington volleyball team lost its third straight match Thursday night, falling to No. 18 Arizona at McKale Center. Game scores were 15-8, 15-1, 15-8.
Arizona hit for an outstanding .427 hitting percentage as three players topped .500. The Wildcats improved to 10-4 overall and 4-2 in the Pac-10. UW fell to 6-9 and 2-5.
Washington was led by sophomore Allison Richardson, who tallied 14 kills and hit .344. No other Husky had double-figures in kills.
Lisa Rutledge led the 'Cats with 15 kills and only one error on 27 attacks. Marissa DaLee had 13 kills and a .667 percentage and Shannon Torregrosa posted seven kills and no errors on nine swings for a stunning .778 percentage.
The Huskies take on Arizona State Friday evening in Tempe before returning to Seattle.
