UW alumna Tabea Schendekehl, who won two NCAA championships and two additional NCAA medals in Washington's varsity eight, returns to Conibear Shellhouse as the Huskies' intern coach for 2021-22.
Schendekehl rowed in the UW eight that won the NCAA title in 2017 and 2019, the tightest and most thrilling NCAA eights grand final in history. Additionally, she rowed in the eights that won silver in 2018 and bronze in 2021.
She has also rowed for her country, Germany, at the international level, winning a silver medal in the W8+ at the European Championships and bronze in the four at the Under-23 Worlds.
An art: photo media major at UW, Schedekehl earned her degree in 2021. She was a two-time Pocock CRCA first-team All-American, two-time first-team All-Pac-12 selection, and made the Pac-12 All-Academic second team in both 2018 and 2019.
