Scott Junck enters his first season with the Diamond Dawgs in 2025-26 as the Director of Baseball Operations.
Most recently, Junck served as a graduate assistant at the University of Kansas from 2023-25. While in the role, Junck assisted with practice planning, player development plans, and practice facilitation. He was also in charge of video and data collection, advanced scouting reports, and assisted in running camps while helping with recruiting in evaluations and on-campus recruiting visits.
Prior to Kansas, Junck served as the Director of Baseball Operations and Player Development at South Dakota State. In addition to coordinating travel, equipment, and student managers, he also worked closely with the pitching coach on pitching development and training.
Junck previously worked at the University of Iowa from 2019-23 as a student manager, including two years as the head manager where he led a group of 24 managers within the baseball program. His duties included hiring, onboarding, training the other managers in addition to operation of player development technology, assisting with scouting reports and player development reports, practice facilitation, bullpen coaching during games, and assisting with camps.
Junck also worked with two professional baseball organizations, the Baltimore Orioles in 2021 and the Philadelphia Phillies in 2022. With the Orioles, Junck was the Technology Coordinator for the FCL Orioles team, where he operated all video and technology systems for the team, assisted with player development plans, produce scouting reports. With the Phillies, Junck was the Player Development Associate with the AAA Lehigh Valley Ironpigs where he coordinated video and data collection for the team and generated statistical reports for pitchers and hitters and created advanced scouting reports.
Junck earned his Master's in Sports Management from Kansas in 2025 after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Recreation Management from Iowa in 2023.
