Kyle Jolly joined the Washington staff as an offensive graduate assistant following the end of the 2015 football season. He'll work with the Huskies' offensive line in for a second season in a row in 2017.
In 2016, Jolly helped coach an offensive line that featured first-team All-Pac-12 and second-team All-America left tackle Trey Adams, first-team All-Pac-12 guard Jake Eldrenkamp, as well as center Coleman Shelton, a second-team All-Pac-12 selection. Washington's offense was the No. 1 scoring offense in the Pac-12 and shattered the school record for points and touchdowns.
Jolly was a three-year starter at North Carolina, earning his degree in exercise and sport science in 2009. He spent the last three football seasons working with the Old Dominion football program in his native Virginia, spending three years as a graduate assistant working with tight ends and the o-line.
As an lineman at North Carolina, Jolly started 38 straight games (2007-2009) at left tackle, helping the Tar Heels to the Meineke Car Care Bowl in both 2008 and 2009. He was an honorable mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection in 2009.
Jolly signed a free-agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010, when the spent the entire season on the practice squad. He also spent time on the Falcons' practice squad in 2011 and played for the Steelers in the 2012 preseason.
Jolly attended Blessed Sacrament Huguenot in Powhatan, Va., earning private school all-state honors as a tight end and defensive tackle. He was thought to be the first football prospect from Powhatan County ever to earn a Division I scholarship.
