Sports Medicine Undergraduate Internship

The University of Washington offers undergraduate candidates a valuable internship opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the medical profession. The athletic training room offers exciting and challenging exposure to injury evaluation, management and rehabilitation skills, as well as professional interaction with the medical community. Student interns work with Certified Athletic Trainers and Team Physicians to provide health care to all NCAA Division I athletic programs at the University of Washington. Many graduates of this program have gone on to become successful Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Physicians, Surgeons and other healthcare professionals that proudly serve our community.
Criteria to apply for the undergraduate internship program:
- Enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Washington - Seattle Campus
- Able to attend a credited class and commit to 10+ hours of observation a week from September to June annually
- Embody the mission and values of the university and sports medicine department.
- Applicants must have completed one year of college prior to starting the internship. Students who are currently enrolled in their first year are still eligible to apply for the next academic year.
