Zero Waste Game 2021
This 2021 Football season, our Pac-12 Zero Waste Challenge Game was held on November 13th vs. Arizona State. During the game, our team of volunteers engaged fans in The Zone and around the stadium concourse and encouraged them to recycle and compost. Special giveaways were handed out to fans who did an exceptional job of recycling and composting.
Fans at The Zone were also treated to some fun activities. At our Sustainability tent, we had a miniature waste sorting game that we held in partnership with Recology King County, the official waste hauler at Husky Stadium. Harry the Husky also stopped by, wearing a Husky Sustainability t-shirt, and took photos with eager fans.
During our Green Minute in the third quarter, a video featuring UW Football student athletes was played, and Husky Sustainability t-shirts were tossed out to the student section of the crowd.
