Jessika Cowart | Redwood City, California
Jessika Cowart has long been a pillar of the Husky midfield and an important leader of the team, always smiling and showing what it means to play Husky Soccer. Jessika has started 37 games over her last two years of competition as Washington’s holding midfielder. Over those two years, Washington has recorded 14 shutouts in no small part due to Jessika’s abilities. She has chipped in offensively as well, with a goal and two assists in her Husky career and points in all three of her seasons. While Cowart has been out this year with injury, her impact on the team has been felt as she's worked behind the scenes to help the Huskies grow on and off the field.
A psychology major, Jessika will return to Washington next year for her final season as a college athlete before pursuing professional soccer. The 2019 Husky Invitational Defensive MVP, Jessika has also earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors in her career. She has worked with LVR Soccer and the Austen Everett Foundation, showing a commitment to giving back to the Seattle community.
