Despite an injury cutting her carer short this year, Sam Kokoska's usual leadership on the field has been just as impactful off. In 2016, Kokoska started every one of Washington's 20 games, coming a year after she picked up a goal and an assist in her debut season. Last year, Kokoska played a vital defensive role in the midfield off the bench, making 15 more appearances. She has been named to the Pac-12's All-Academic First Team in both of her years that she was eligible for the award as she has truly embodied what it means to be a Husky student-athlete.
