The University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics Department offers the Seattle community the opportunity to come to Open Gym in the Marv Harshman Court. The times will vary throughout the year, so it will be important to return to this page to view when the court is available. All participants are required to bring a photo ID and must sign a waiver prior to utilizing the facilities.
March 8, 2019 : 9:00 p.m. - midnight
March 9, 2019: 9:00 p.m. - midnight
In addition, Open Gym is also subject to NCAA Dead Periods for both men's and women's basketball. Those specific dates can be viewed in the link provided: NCAA Division I Recruiting Calendars
For prospects who have not yet started their junior year in high school, please be aware the NCAA has passed new legislation regarding the timing of an unofficial visit (un-paid) to campus. It states, in sports other than basketball and football, that an unofficial visit with athletics department involvement (e.g., contact with athletics department staff, athletics-specific tour, complimentary admission) shall not occur with an individual (or his or her relatives or legal guardians) before September 1 at the beginning of his or her junior year in high school. Therefore, when visiting any Division I institution, if you plan on visiting the athletics department that you visit after September 1 of your junior year in high school.
Those visiting the UW Campus prior to September 1 may not have contact with any athletics department staff (e.g., coaches, directors of operations, etc.). However, if you would like to take an Admissions Tour of UW, we would encourage you to visit Campus Tour Freshman Information Session site.
If you have questions about NCAA, Pac-12 or UW regulations, or about a student-athlete, please click on Contact Compliance. You'll find information on how to contact the UW Compliance Office. If you'd like to submit an anonymous email, please click on the "Anonymous Tip Box" link above.
Finally, we encourage an Open Door Policy! You're always welcome to stop by our offices, located in the Graves Annex Building on the 3rd floor. We hope you find this site informative and useful!
