Go Green on Gameday.
We encourage fans to adopt sustainable practices when enjoying a game at Husky Stadium.
Over 30% of Husky Fans arrive at the stadium by means other than driving. They take public transport, bike, or take advantage of other transportation methods, in order to reduce carbon emissions. UW is served by the Light Link Rail and numerous bus stations, and we also partner with UW Transportation Services to offer a bike valet service at Rainier Vista on game days.
While tailgating, fans can help us properly dispose of waste. Keep an eye out for volunteers who will be passing out bags to collect recycling in the tailgating areas, or you can find recycle bag dispensers in the E1, E12, E18 and Padelford parking areas. Recycle and compost bins can also be found throughout the lots surrounding the stadium.
Creating a Sustainable Gameday Experience
As part of our waste diversion efforts, all food trays, utensils, cups, bottles and cans served at concession stands are either recyclable or compostable. Please dispose of waste in the proper bins, and make sure all cups, bottles and cans are empty before you do.
Find us at The Zone.
Every game day, you can drop by the Sustainability Tent in The Zone to learn more about sustainability at UW Athletics, take a few pictures, or find out how to enter our game day raffle.
You can also spot our volunteers in The Zone and tailgating areas. They can answer questions about how to properly dispose of waste and tell you more about the sustainability initiatives at UW Athletics.
