Prugh Tied For Third In Vegas
LAS VEGAS -- Alex Prugh shot a 7-under 64 in the second round of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open on Friday and is tied with five others for third place at -11 overall.
The former Husky All-American started his day from the 10th tee of TPC Summerlin and got off to a masterful start with three-straight birdies. After a par, he birdied the par three 14th hole thanks to a 27-foot putt. He followed up with an impressive eagle on the par four 15th hole that was playing at under 300 yards. Prugh drove his ball just off the green but holed out in from just under 42-feet away. He added another birdie on the 16th hole to drop to seven under after seven holes. Prugh slowed down from there and was even par the rest of the way. He birdied No. 5 and bogeyed No. 6 but marked pars on all the other holes. Jonathan Byrd leads at -13 overall after a 63. Ryuji Imada is second at -12 after shooting the days best round of a 9-under 62.
