Aman Scores For SeaWolves, Richey Records Fifth Straight Timbers U-23 VictoryEDMONDS, Wash. - The North Sound SeaWolves (1-2) dropped its home-opener to the Crossfire (3-1-1) in a 2-1 loss Friday night. Current Husky and SeaWolves forward Abdul Aman scored his second goal of the season just before halftime; he had three shots in the game. He later received a red card for a pushing match with the Crossfire defense with eight minutes to go in regulation; Aman will miss Sunday's matchup against the defending PDL champion Kitsap Pumas. Upcoming senior Quinton Beasley played the full 90 minutes and had a shot in the game for the SeaWolves, while Ben Fisk, Alex Klein, and Nathan Sackeyfio started for the Crossfire. Former Washington midfielder Daniel Gray scored for the Crossfire in the 15th minute. Next up for the Washington Crossfire will be a match-up against the Portland Timbers U-23s, June 6th at Redmond High School. The North Sound SeaWolves stay at home and face the defending PDL champions Kitsap Pumas on June 3rd at 6 p.m. PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers U-23s (5-0-0) set a new Premier Development League (PDL) attendance record Friday as the team defeated Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23 2-1 before 8,174 fans on a Health and Fitness School Day, presented by Providence Sports Care Center, at JELD-WEN Field. The record crowd broke the previous league mark set by the Fresno Fuego in 2011. In total, 16,203 school kids and fans attended the Timbers U-23s' two Health and Fitness School Days in 2012. Current Husky Spencer Richey earned his PDL-leading fifth win of the season for the Timbers U-23s, recording two saves - one in each half. Roberto Farfan and Cam Vickers scored for the Timbers U-23s and Mark Sherrod recorded both assists. Benjamin Fisk Routledge had the lone goal for the Vancouver Whitecaps U-23s (2-3-2). The Timbers U-23s will play again Saturday and visit the Seattle Sounders FC U-23 for the first time; kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Tumwater High School.
